HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU WERE CREATED TO DO?

Allowing yourself the freedom to BE to

the world, what you were created to be.

When searching the meaning of life, the age-old question, "why am I here and what is my purpose", is asked and answered thousands if not millions of times. However, no matter how many times the question tends to send an alarm to our inner philosopher. Which then leads to a circle of more questions rather than answers.

However, what if the question was, "am I doing what I was created to do' ? Could understanding that you are already here doing something help?

Yes, I believe so, and some people do their “somethings” so well that on an average day, they receive compliments & confirmations and never equate it to purpose.

During a recent visit to Houston, Texas I took a bike tour that afforded me a front-row seat to purpose & validated my questions. It showed me how the universe aligns with purpose.

In my opinion, there is no better way to see a city than to take a bike tour. Biking gets you close enough to all the jewels of what makes the city great while giving you, your personal space and time to take it all in. Over the years it has become my number #1 way to take in the sights and sounds of a new place.

The icing on the cake is touring streets, alleys and sidewalks that house African-American culture. Doing this helps me integrate with the locals who wave and welcome me or ignore me due to my presence feeling like it belongs. Let's Do This Houston gave me my money's worth of all the above!

Alan Moore’s story makes PURPOSE appear as easy as a bike ride. The Memphis native and Prairie View A&M University graduate committed himself to the community that awakened his purpose. A former social worker, working in group homes with at-risk youth offered him the opportunity to reach people with fun, music, and a mental release.

He founded Let’s Do This Houston a black-owned business that takes you on a breathtaking black American culture bike ride through Houston’s beautiful Third Ward.

It was his love of community that put him on the path of social work. The social work guided him to the people in need; and the people in need pointed him in the direction of healing. Giving a small package of enjoyment that gives a big impact. This impact touches one life at a time, on one awesome bike ride!

If you visit Houston, please take a tour and enjoy black culture on a bike, where hip-hop music sings to the hood and the people wave from porches and fellow bike riders yell “Aye”......and while you’re there, get a glimpse of someone doing exactly what they were created to do.

There is no better way to conclude than with the beautiful and very true lyrics from Lauryn Hill's

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill......

“AND DEEP IN MY HEART, THE ANSWER IT WAS IN ME”
